Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg is a beautiful and talented violinist known for her prodigious mastery of the violin. She won the Walter W. Naumburg International Violin Competition in 1981, being the youngest person to do so. Nadja received the Avery Fisher Prize in 1999, for “outstanding achievement and excellence in music”.

Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg’s many recordings include Vivaldi The Four Seasons, and the great Violin Concertos by Barber, Sibelius, Brahms, and Tchaikovsky, among others. Nadja wrote a book for children in 1989, an autobiography entitled Nadja: On My Way. Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg is the subject of the beautiful film, Speaking in Strings.
