Valentina Igoshina is a beautiful and talented pianist known for winning first prize at the Artur Rubinstein Piano Competition in Poland in 1993, at the age of 14, and first prize and a special award at the Rachmaninov International Piano Competition in Moscow in 1997, at the age of 18. She has also earned first place at the Concorso Pianistico Internazionale ‘Premio Guiliano Pecar’ in 2002, second place at the Atlanta International Piano Competition in Georgia in 2002, second place at the Jose Iturbi International Piano Competition in Spain in 2006, and was a finalist at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels in 2003.

Valentina Igoshina has performed with many of the world’s most notable orchestras, including the London Philharmonic, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

Valentina Igoshina’s great recordings include Chopin’s Complete Waltzes, Dmitri Shostakovich’s First and Second Piano Concertos, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, and Schumann’s Carnaval. Valentina Igoshina has appeared in the films The Strange Case of Delphina Potocka, and Valentina Igoshina Plays Chopin.
